Alpha is an informal introductory course to the Christian faith for anyone who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what he did for us, and what it means to follow him.
Our next Alpha may be held after the summer break starting in September/October or possibly Christianity Explored course which is an excellent prequel to Alpha.
The Alpha course is generally held at ABC on Tuesday evenings. Each evening begins at 7.00 pm with a two course meal. All who enrol in the course will receive a complimentary course guide and no charge will be made of the course or the food. A box will be available for anyone who wants to make a contribution towards the costs, but we are very happy for you to ‘have it on us’.
The meal is followed by a talk, some will be live and some will be on DVD. Each talk lasts about 25 minute and after the talk we then talk about what was said in our small groups finishing at 9.00 pm. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible and you can ask any questions you like. Furthermore you will not be asked to sing or pray or read out loud as we want this course to help you learn more about the Christian Faith without feeling uncomfortable or embarassed.
If you would like to enroll for the course later this year please fill in the form to the left, when it appears, or phone Phil & Sandy on 01344 455689
