Our vision and values can be summarised as follows:
A healthy local church is a Christ-centred community in which each one contributes fully and works for change in themselves and the conversion of the lost.
Our five values are:
1. WORSHIP - "My whole life an offering"
The Glory of God at the centre of all we do
We are made by God and for God, and all we do in word and deed we are to do for the glory of God. Life only works properly when it is lived for the Lord.
2. COMMUNITY - "A church of small groups gathering together on Sundays"
Groups as the foundation of Church life.
God created us to live in relationship with him and others.
We cannot become like Christ in isolation. We need each other. 3. TRANSFORMATION - "A community of healing and wholeness"
Growth as the aim of our personal lives
We are created and redeemed to become like Christ. God's goal for our lives is not our comfort but our character. God's word is given for our transformation not information.
4. MINISTRY - "Serving God's purposes in my generation"
Gifts being used to serve our fellow believers
We are each created, saved and called to serve God and one another and to play a specific part in the Body of Christ. God gives us each a unique SHAPE: our Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences. We can never find true fulfilment by getting, only by giving.
5. MISSION - "Taking Jesus Christ to everyone"
The Gospel being shared with all those who don't know the Lord
Christ’s came to seek and to save the lost and he calls each of us to do the same. Lost people really matter to God. We have a call and a commission to go into all the world and make disciple of all nations. The church exists for the sake of its non-members. There is no greater joy than leading someone to the Lord.
.
Healing and wholeness restores and releases people to glorify God, to enjoy good relationships, to live a more holy life, to fufill our God given ministry and to more effectively take Christ to those who don't yet know him.
